Three Days in Lisbon, No Stand, Just Conversations

Neil Dillon on working the floor at SBC Summit Lisbon, and why affiliates, partners and influencers were the topic everyone kept coming back to.
Three days in Lisbon. No stand.

We chose to work the floor at SBC Summit this year rather than take a booth. A good call.

One topic came up more than any other: affiliates, partners and influencers.

The Blind Spot

Every operator we spoke to has the same blind spot. Their own marketing is reviewed, signed off and archived. Everything published on their behalf is a different story. Regulators know it, and they're going after it.

That's why we brought Solas Radar to Lisbon: AI-assisted monitoring of affiliate, partner, sponsor and influencer content, with pre-approval built in. The response told us we're building the right thing.

A Few Highlights

  • Met the Irish and Gibraltar regulators. Candid, and clear on where scrutiny is heading.
  • Dinner with our partners at Superbet, talking about where we go next together.
  • Lots of operators who've realised that compliance can't keep pace with marketing on spreadsheets.

Thank you to everyone who made time for us. If we didn't get to meet, my inbox is open.
